I started writing for surf magazines in 2011. My work was soon published by several national titles, and over the years the editorial side grew into a real part of my practice.
I went on to serve as photo editor for 4ActionMedia, and to write for European magazines and international outlets such as The Inertia. Time spent inside the press taught me to read an image the way an editor does: to recognise which frame carries the story, and why.
Below is a small collection of some of the projects I’ve been fortunate to be part of over the years—each one bringing back great memories.

My very first magazine article, co-written with Cristian Corradin, featuring my behind-the-scenes photographs from the documentary Bella Vita Film. The opening image captures a very young Leonardo Fioravanti riding a barrel at La Punta, Mandriola (Sardinia, Italy).

My first article as a contributor to 4Surf Magazine, focusing on alternative surfboard designs—fish, single fins, and mid-lengths. The opening double-page spread captures Giovanni Cossu and Marco Pulisci making the most of a fun winter day at Mini Capo, Sardinia.

In 2014, I published my first photobook: a collection of photographs made over the course of three years, documenting the places, waves, and people that shaped my photographic journey.
The first Italian edition was printed in 500 copies and sold out within two years. Rather than reprinting it, I decided to create a completely revised and expanded edition for an international audience. The book was translated into English and Japanese and carefully refined in every detail, resulting in a version I felt was more mature and complete.
Although it was fully finished and ready for publication, this new edition was never released and remains, to this day, a project in limbo. Below are a few excerpts from that unpublished version.
